All 5 Pixel Art Skins
Every one of the 5 pixel art skins here is the live skin of a real account, read straight from its Mojang profile.
Every one of those 5 uses the Steve model with four pixel wide arms. 4 of them paint on the second layer of the body, the rest keep the detail on the base layer.
The palettes are far apart: Docm77 uses 1236 distinct colours and KrisJelbring gets by on 3, with 324 as the average across the category.
One skin here is still in the old 64x32 layout from before Minecraft 1.8, so the game mirrors its arm and leg instead of reading two of each.
The dominant colour of each file puts this group mostly in orange (3), white (2), cyan (2).

Finding the Right Pixel Art Skin
When choosing a pixel art skin, consider whether you want a Steve model (4-pixel wide arms) or an Alex model (3-pixel wide arms). Both models support the full 64x64 skin format with overlay layers.
Make sure your skin file is a PNG image at exactly 64x64 pixels. Legacy 64x32 skins still work but do not support the second layer overlays for legs and arms.
You can apply your chosen skin through the Minecraft Launcher or via your profile at minecraft.net. For detailed instructions, check our skin changing guide.
