All 14 Medieval Skins

All 14 medieval skins are shown below, 10 of them taken from the Mojang profile of a real account and 4 of them drawn here.

8 of them sit on the Steve model and 2 on the slimmer Alex model. 5 of them paint on the second layer of the body, the rest keep the detail on the base layer.

Colour counts run from 16 in Yogscast to 927 in JJoNak, which puts the average of this category at 173.

5 of these skins are still in the old 64x32 layout from before Minecraft 1.8, so the game mirrors one arm and one leg rather than reading both sides.

Measured over the largest colour in each file, the category leans towards black (8), orange (8), red (6).

The player skins on this page were read from the Mojang profile API and were current on 2026-08-23. A player can change their skin at any time, in which case their profile will show the new one before this page does.

Finding the Right Medieval Skin

When choosing a medieval skin, consider whether you want a Steve model (4-pixel wide arms) or an Alex model (3-pixel wide arms). Both models support the full 64x64 skin format with overlay layers.

Make sure your skin file is a PNG image at exactly 64x64 pixels. Legacy 64x32 skins still work but do not support the second layer overlays for legs and arms.

You can apply your chosen skin through the Minecraft Launcher or via your profile at minecraft.net. For detailed instructions, check our skin changing guide.
