MineCon 2011 Cape
The first MineCon cape ever distributed. Features a Creeper design and was given to approximately 4,500 attendees. Extremely sought after by collectors.
MineCon 2012 Cape
A red and white cape with a pickaxe design. Distributed to around 4,500 attendees of the second official MineCon event.
MineCon 2013 Cape
A green piston-themed cape. Around 7,500 people attended MineCon 2013, making this slightly less rare than earlier MineCon capes.
MineCon 2015 Cape
A purple and white cape featuring an iron golem design. Approximately 10,000 attendees received this cape at the largest MineCon ever.
MineCon 2016 Cape
A yellow and orange cape featuring an explorer design. The last physical MineCon event before the switch to digital events (MINECON Live / Minecraft Live).
Mojang Classic Cape
The iconic red Mojang cape worn by studio employees. One of the oldest and most recognized capes in the game. Not available to the general public.
Mojang Studios Cape
The updated Mojang Studios cape featuring the new logo. Replaced the classic Mojang cape for current employees after the studio rebrand.
Followers Cape
One of the absolute rarest capes in existence. Given personally by Notch to a handful of community members during Minecraft's earliest development. Fewer than 20 known holders.
Cobalt Cape
A deep blue cape awarded to players of Mojang's discontinued card game Scrolls. Very few players obtained this cape before Scrolls was shut down.
Mojang Office Cape
A red cape with the old Mojang logo. Given informally to a very small number of visitors at the Mojang office over the years. Extremely rare.
